MOVIE REVIEW: DIVERGENT
|
|
This movie review has been long past due.... But I'm going to do it anyway. I loved it, the settings were strangely and hauntingly beautiful, and it showed the ruthlessness of Eric and the other Dauntless leaders perfectly. But, like anything, there are flaws to perfection.
So let's be the biggest critics in the world and pick out faults in one of my favorite movies of 2014!
Yeah, okay.
So.
In the beginning, it started off with a dramatic, Mrs. Prior cutting off Tris's hair scene. Or should Tris be called Beatrice at this scene of the movie? Because, technically, she's a different person from what she was at the end.
I thought it was funny, to get back on the subject of this scene. It was kind of funny how the editors or producers made the locks of hair fall(oh-so-dramatically) onto the floor.
Okay, I don't even know why I'm talking about this scene. It really doesn't impact the story as greatly as the other scenes I have planned, so I'll just stop.
So first, there was this one scene were Tris is on the zipline that the Dauntless trainees do-they are in a harness, which is attached to a cable that stretches far off into the distance. Tris isn't really scared of heights, from what I can tell(from the movie, from the book I know she isn't), and she bravely goes on the zipline. Then, there's one part where the cable goes in between a sign and a wall, and Tris has to turn and twist in the air to avoid crashing.
I love this part. I don't think it's significant at first, but I just love how it shows the bravery of the Dauntless. Sometimes stupid bravery, yes, but bravery nontheless. And I want to go on that zipline as a result of that...

....
Okay, I'm kind of ashamed of this review. It literally has nothing that really makes a reader want to watch the movie. But I'm telling you, it's really good.
Final rate? 10/10. I feel bad for giving so many 10/10s, but if a movie is good, you can't undermine its greatness.
Okay, bye!
